Liability and Damage Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
This policy applies to private offices, coworking spaces, meeting rooms and the Multipurpose Room offered by offices.com.gr and operated by PARAGON Consulting Services L.P. It supplements the specific agreement or booking and the Terms of Use and Bookings, without overriding mandatory law.
1. Care of Premises and Equipment
Users must take reasonable care of desks, furniture, chairs, cabinets, walls, floors, doors, windows and electrical or network installations. Drilling, painting, attaching objects, alterations and other modifications require prior written approval.
The booking organiser must take reasonable steps to ensure participants use screens, microphones, conferencing cameras, cables, adapters and other agreed equipment correctly. Return items in the condition received, allowing for normal wear and tear.
2. When Liability Arises
A user or organiser is responsible for damage caused by their own fault or by people for whom they are responsible under applicable law or a valid contractual term. A person’s presence, or discovery of damage during a booking, does not by itself establish liability.
Ordinary use, normal wear and tear, pre-existing defects and faults not attributable to a responsible user are not charged as damage. Report any visible pre-existing defect before use.
3. Recording and Notification
- Report damage promptly and take safe steps to prevent further damage.
- Management records the location, time, description and available evidence, respecting personal data.
- The person concerned is informed and may provide comments or dispute the findings.
- Management explains the proposed remedy and documented cost. Urgent work needed for safety may take place first, followed by notification.
4. Repair Costs and Deposits
Charges are limited to reasonable and necessary repairs, specialist cleaning or replacement where repair is unsuitable. The item’s age, condition and value are considered to avoid an unjustified charge or upgrade at the user’s expense.
The appropriate billing document is issued where required. A deduction from a deposit or set-off is made only where permitted by the agreement and law, with an itemised explanation. A management damage report is not a final legal determination of liability, and the user may dispute it.
5. Personal Belongings
Users must look after their equipment and arrange suitable insurance where required by their agreement or needs. Do not leave money, documents or portable devices unattended. Providing workspace does not automatically mean PARAGON has agreed to take custody of belongings.
If belongings are lost, stolen or damaged, responsibility is assessed from the facts and applicable law. PARAGON is not generally exempt from liability for its own fault.
6. Visitors and Third Parties
Clients and organisers must explain the rules to visitors and take reasonable steps for safe use. Responsibility for injury or property damage depends on fault, causation and applicable law. The business’s duties to maintain the premises and provide safe conditions continue to apply.
7. Mandatory Rights
No term excludes or limits liability for intentional wrongdoing, gross negligence or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected where applicable. Criminal responsibility is determined by law and cannot be transferred by contract. Contact management first if you have a concern or dispute.
