Network Usage and Responsibility Policy (Wi-Fi / Ethernet and IP Logs)
Last Updated: 27 October 2026
PARAGON Consulting Services L.P., through offices.com.gr, provides access to a shared wired or wireless network (Ethernet / Wi-Fi), subject to the available infrastructure and agreed service. This policy applies to office and address service clients, colleagues and visitors.
1. Acceptable Use and Device Security
Use the network for lawful business, research and normal personal activities. Keep your operating system and software updated, use suitable security tools and maintain backups. Use encrypted services and, where appropriate, a secure company VPN for confidential work.
Do not share access credentials or connect your own router, access point, server or other network equipment without approval. Report suspicious activity or a possible security breach promptly.
2. Prohibited Activities
- Illegal acts: fraud, unlawful distribution of material or other breaches of applicable law.
- Copyright infringement: downloading or sharing protected films, music, software or other material without permission, through P2P/torrent or any other method. P2P technology is not inherently unlawful, but network restrictions may apply.
- Cyberattacks: unauthorised access, scanning or interception, phishing, DDoS attacks, spam and the distribution of malicious software.
- Resource abuse: sustained use that materially disrupts other users or bypasses security and fair-use controls.
- Illegal content: child sexual abuse material, unlawful incitement to violence or hatred, and other content that it is illegal to access, possess or distribute.
3. Availability and Business Responsibility
PARAGON takes reasonable steps to support a secure and stable connection. Actual speed and availability depend on the internet provider, equipment, coverage, network load and maintenance. Uninterrupted access or a specific speed is not guaranteed unless expressly agreed.
A shared network does not replace device security, encryption or backups. Responsibility for data loss, a breach, damage or an outage depends on its cause, fault, the agreement and applicable law. This policy does not exclude PARAGON’s liability for intentional wrongdoing, gross negligence or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
4. User Responsibility
Users are responsible for their own actions and must protect their devices and credentials. Use of a device or account does not, by itself, conclusively establish its owner’s liability. Compensation claims must be based on a documented breach, a causal link and applicable law. This policy does not automatically transfer fines or criminal responsibility to another person.
5. Network Management and Personal Data
Proportionate security and fair-use measures may include speed limits, blocking malicious destinations or particular ports, and isolating devices. This policy does not authorise general monitoring of communication content.
Any connection or security logs must be limited to necessary data, kept for a defined lawful purpose and necessary period, and accessed only by authorised people, with the required privacy information provided. The Customer Privacy Policy explains your rights. Information is provided to competent authorities only on a lawful basis and to the extent required.
IP Logs and Technical Records
Depending on the active setup, technical logs may contain an IP address, connection time, device or account identifier and security events. This does not mean every field or browsing history is recorded. General monitoring of communication content or behavioural profiling is not authorised.
Before collection, the actual categories, lawful basis, access and a specific necessary retention period must be defined. This policy does not create a general duty to retain all IP logs. Ask management for the notice that applies to the network at your location.
6. Handling Breaches
Access may be suspended immediately to address an active threat or serious misuse. Where possible, the user is informed and asked to correct the problem. Further action or termination must follow the agreement and applicable law. Any civil or criminal consequences are determined by the competent authorities or courts.
